✱your disposable camera

Disposable camera apps,
compared honestly.

There are three products worth knowing about if you want a digital disposable camera at a wedding or party. All three do the core thing well. Here's where they differ, as of September 2026.

The short version

POV is the category leader, American, with host apps on iOS and Android and the most reviews by a distance. Once is a newer iOS app with an App Clip so guests can join without installing it. your disposable camera is the browser-only one: no app for the host or the guests, built in Ireland, hosted in the EU and priced in euro.

Do you need to download anything?

For guests, none of the three require an app — all use a QR or link. The difference is the host. POV and Once are apps the host installs from the App Store or Play Store to create and manage the event. Here, the host creates the film in the browser too; there is no app for anyone to install, and it works the same on a laptop as on a phone.

Pricing

All three charge once per event by guest count rather than a subscription, and all three are free for small groups. POV's published pricing runs from free (up to 10 guests) to $4.99–$89.99 in US dollars, with business tiers above that. Once sells its tiers as in-app purchases. Our tiers are €4.99 (25 guests) to €89.99 (250), free up to 10, with a €59 printed photobook as an option — priced in euro, no currency conversion on your card.

Where the photos live

Our photos are stored in Dublin on EU servers and never leave the EU. That matters if you're an Irish or European venue, planner or brand who has to answer a GDPR question, and it's why we'll sign a data-processing agreement for business customers. POV and Once are US products; check their privacy pages for where data is held.

Who each one suits

Pick POV if

you want the most-used product with the longest track record, you're in the US, and the host is happy to install an app.

Pick Once if

you're all-iPhone, you like the lock-screen live activity and the App Clip join, and you want a native app experience for the host.

Pick your disposable camera if

you're in Ireland or Europe, you want nothing installed by anyone, you need EU hosting or a DPA, or you'd rather pay in euro and email a person.

Any of them if

you just want limited shots, a locked reveal and a private gallery. That's the part all three get right.

What we don't do (yet)

We don't have a native app, a lock-screen widget, NFC blocks or a public API. We think the no-app trade is worth it for a one-day event, but if those features matter to you, POV or Once are the better fit today.

Competitor details are taken from their public App Store listings and websites in September 2026. If something here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
